Junior Sommelier, Italian renowned restaurant, New Opening, Knightsbridge
Salary of £35’000 per annum
We are currently looking for a Junior Sommelier to join the opening team of a world-renowned Italian restaurant.
With restaurants in Florence, Zurich, Monti Carlo, Moscow, and Vienna, Cantinetta Antinori is bringing the brand to London for the first time this spring. Housed in a three-storey period building in Knightsbridge, the restaurant will offer relaxed, all-day traditional Tuscan dining, fine wines, and live music.
The restaurant has a strong management team who firmly believes in looking after their staff and being as fun and rewarding as possible.
There are plans to expand other new concepts so a good work ethic will be rewarded quickly!

Things you will be doing as a Sommelier
- Assisting with wine and beverage service
- Assisting and updating the wine list in coordination with the General Manager
- Recommending food and wine pairings
- Advising guests on wines based on their personal tastes
- Greeting customers in a professional way
- Be able to suggest wines based on the food selection served
You will be a great fit if you:
- Have WSET level 2
- Are a driven sommelier who wants to be a part of a unique team
- Have great knowledge of wine and have worked in a similar role, in a similar fine dining environment
- Have full knowledge of the drink’s selection (cocktails, teas, coffees, etc)
- Are friendly, organised, and have a great personality
- Have excellent communication skills
- Know the basics of food and wine pairing
- Have stock management understanding
- Have knowledge of table service skills and etiquette
- Have a positive attitude
- Can work as part of a team
