Assistant Restaurant Manager, renowned restaurant, New Opening, Knightsbridge

Salary of £40,000 per annum

We are currently looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the opening team of a world-renowned Italian restaurant.

With restaurants in Florence, Zurich, Monti Carlo, Moscow, and Vienna, Cantinetta Antinori is bringing the restaurant brand to London for the first time this spring. Housed in a three-storey period building in Knightsbridge, the restaurant will offer relaxed, all-day traditional Tuscan dining, and fine wines.

The restaurant has a strong management team who firmly believes in looking after their staff and being as fun and rewarding as possible.

There are plans to expand other new concepts so a good work ethic will be rewarded quickly!

Things you will be doing as an Assistant Restaurant Manager

  • Assist in overseeing the operation on a day-to-day basis with a hands-on approach: leading by example
  • Manage and monitor work quality and guest satisfaction
  • Drive morale and motivation to provide excellent customer service
  • Assist in the selection, training, and supervising of the team
  • Provide guidance for improvement and implement necessary adjustments
  • Evaluate, and take the necessary actions regarding guest comments & feedback
  • Building relationships with all guests to obtain feedback on the quality of service
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing training and guidance as needed
  • Ensuring that employees follow company policies, as well as health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring a high and consistent standard of customer service

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Have management or head waiter experience for more than two years in a similar quality restaurant environment
  • Have a strong understanding of Italian cuisine
  • Have WSET level 2 and an understanding and passion for fine wines
  • Have an eye and attention to detail
  • Are friendly, organized, and have a great personality
  • Have a positive can-do attitude
  • Are passionate and excited to help build something amazing
  • Can communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • Have great interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction
